There are many types of kilns. Among them, the most widely used is the rotary kiln. It can heat and burn a variety of products, and it is also resistant to high temperatures. It must be arranged before use. The following is an introduction to its layout requirements:

1. The height of the rotary kiln should be confirmed according to the type and layout of the clinker cooler.

2. The arrangement of foundation piers should meet the following requirements:

(1) The installation dimensions should all be based on the cold kiln.

(2) The horizontal distance between the foundation piers should be determined according to the size after thermal expansion.

(3) The calculation of the axial thermal expansion of the kiln shell shall be based on the tyre belt with blocking wheels set near the transmission device as the reference point, and expand to both ends.

(4) The slope of the foundation surface should be equal to the slope of the kiln shell, and the foundation hole should be perpendicular to the foundation surface.

3. When there are more than two rotary kilns, the distance between the two kilns should be determined in accordance with the following principles:

(1) Meet the layout requirements of kiln head and kiln tail equipment.

(2) To facilitate equipment operation and maintenance.

(3) Combine the reasonable location of the control room.

Rotary kilns are used for wet-process cement kilns. In wet-process production, raw materials are made into slurry with a water content of 32%-40%. Since it is prepared into a fluid slurry, the raw materials are mixed well, and the raw meal composition is uniform, so that the quality of the fired clinker is high, which is the main advantage of wet production.
